Over the past few days, we have held a series of meetings with our Human Rightivism project implementing partners, Iniciativa Kosovare per Stabilitet - IKS, Qendra për Politika dhe Avokim, Group for Legal and Political Studies/Qendra për Raste Gjyqësore Strategjike - Centre for Strategic Litigation, Integra, and Qendra për Informim dhe Përmirësim Social, to discuss the current landscape facing civil society organizations in Kosovo and explore opportunities for potential future cooperation and sustainability.
These discussions provided an important space to reflect on emerging challenges, funding prospects, and the role of civil society in democratic development, both in general and in advancing human rights, accountability, and social inclusion.
A key message that emerged from all meetings was the importance of strengthening and building coalitions around shared causes. In an increasingly complex environment, coordinated action and collective advocacy can help amplify the voices of civil society organizations and improve engagement with citizens, donors, institutions, and other stakeholders.
We are grateful to our partners for their commitment, expertise, and collaboration. By working together, we can strengthen civic space and create a greater impact for the communities we serve.

We are proud to introduce the Q***r Learning Academy, the first specialized e-learning platform in Kosovo dedicated to strengthening the professional competencies of social workers, social service providers, social work students, and other helping professionals in supporting LGBTQI+ individuals who may experience domestic violence, hate crimes, discrimination, family rejection, and other human rights violations.

Developed by the Csgd Kosovo in partnership with the Departamenti Punë Sociale at the University of Prishtina, the Academy combines academic knowledge, practical learning, professional resources, and certification opportunities to promote inclusive and rights-based social services.

This initiative has been supported by a grant from the Community Development Fund (CDF) within the HumanRightivism Project, funded primarily by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) through the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina.

Preventing violence and supporting sustainable disengagement and reintegration requires collaboration across sectors, disciplines, and borders.
We were pleased to support this important gathering in Prishtina, which brought together researchers, civil society organizations, practitioners, and government representatives from across the Western Balkans and beyond to exchange experiences and discuss the role of Exit organizations and lived experience in prevention, disengagement, and reintegration efforts.
The discussions highlighted the importance of continued cooperation, knowledge sharing, and partnership-building, particularly in an increasingly challenging funding environment.
We look forward to seeing these collaborations continue to grow.

A victory for environmental justice and public interest. We are proud to support partners who use strategic litigation to protect protected natural areas and strengthen accountability in public decision-making. The Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the annulment of the environmental permit for the “Adventure Park” in Gërmia marks an important step toward safeguarding Kosovo’s natural heritage and ensuring that environmental laws are respected. Qendra për Raste Gjyqësore Strategjike (CSL) ka shënuar një sukses të rëndësishëm në mbrojtjen e interesit publik duke fituar përfundimisht betejën ligjore kundër Komunës së Prishtinës, lidhur me lejen mjedisore për ndërtimin e “Parkut të Aventurave” në Peizazhin e Mbrojtur të Parkut Gërmia.

Gjykata e Apelit përmes aktvendimit të datës 18 maj 2026, e ka hedhë poshtë si të palejuar ankesën e Komunës së Prishtinës, duke e konfirmuar kështu Aktgjykimin e Gjykatës Themelore në Prishtinë e cila kishte aprovuar padinë e CSL-së dhe kishte anuluar lejen mjedisore komunale për projektin “Parku i Aventurave”.
