A privilege to celebrate the longstanding partnership and people-to-people connections between Samoa and Australia.
It was an honour to meet Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, and to join leaders, alumni, and community members in reflecting on a relationship that has been shaped through diplomacy, development cooperation, and through the enduring connections between our peoples.
As an Australia Awards alumna and someone who now works across both Samoa and Australia through my role as Chief Communications Officer of the Pacific Australia Youth Association , this occasion held particular significance. I have seen firsthand how education, youth engagement, cultural exchange, and regional collaboration create meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthen the ties that connect our Pacific family.
The relationship between Samoa and Australia extends far beyond governments and institutions. The people-to-people connections remain one of the most valuable foundations of our relationship, that cultivate mutual understanding for the future of our region.
As Miss Samoa, I am continually reminded that representation is less about celebrating who we are as a nation, but more about building bridges between communities that create spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose.
Fa’afetai tele lava to the in Samoa for the invitation and warm hospitality. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a partnership that continues to enrich the lives of so many across Samoa, Australia, and the wider Pacific.

Ia manuia tele le faamanatuina o le Tuto’atasi o si o tatou atunu’u pele o Samoa 🇼🇸❤️
So much to reflect on as we begin celebrating 64 years of Samoa’s Independence, one thing is for sure, there is hope. Hope in our faith, our culture, our people, and in the resilience of Samoa. Samoa’s history is one of perseverance. Our nation has overcome hardship before and emerged stronger.
Tatou ta i luma.

Great to see everyone come together for Saturday’s Mass Clean Up Day ahead of Independence celebrations 🇼🇸 A good reminder that keeping Samoa clean begins with all of us, from our homes and villages to our public spaces. We should treat our public spaces with the same care and respect we give our own homes, because they belong to all of us 🙏
Faafetai to everyone who showed up and did their part.

A delayed Mother’s Day post for what was a deeply emotional and otherworldly Mother’s Day in our home this year.
As many families gathered to honour their mothers, our family mourned the passing of a woman whose love, strength, and quiet sacrifices reflected the spirit of so many Samoan women.
Still, I want to honour the Mothers of Samoa. Past, present and every woman who has nurtured, guided, protected, and carried others through life. For the women whose presence shaped us, and whose love continues to live on long after they are gone, we remember you.
Tinā, Thank you for your love, your wisdom, and the space you hold within our families and communities.
And to all mothers and mother figures across Samoa and our Pacific communities, we honour you, we thank you, and we love you ❤️
Happy Mother’s Day. Fa’amanuia le Atua i tina uma o Samoa 🇼🇸

Wrapping up Day 2 of the Samoa Tourism Exchange B2B 🇼🇸✨
A strong finish to two days of purposeful engagement, bringing together industry partners and international buyers to strengthen collaboration and unlock new opportunities for Samoa’s tourism sector.
The event closed on a celebratory note with exciting giveaways for our registered partners, with the final B2B prize awarded to the only Adelaide-based participant (a wild unexpected coincidence 😆🇦🇺)
Pictured here also with former Miss Samoa 2006, Poinsettia Taefu, whose contribution as part of the STA team has been instrumental to the successful delivery of STE.
This initiative is proudly supported by our partners and sponsors, particularly the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade through the Samoa Tourism Recovery and Resilience Programme (STRRP). Through its focus on sustainable development, destination marketing, cultural heritage, and sector-wide capacity building, the programme is helping to shape a more resilient, inclusive, and high-value future for Samoa tourism.
