Hey, travellers out there, I can really recommend the ride with Cuong von Da Nang to Hue. He is a save driver, never takes any risks. He stops at really nice places and takes several breaks. I learned a lot about Vietnam and the culture! Taking a backpack and a daypack is no problem at all. The seat at the motorbike is quite comfy and you don't have to be an athlete to sit on the backseat the whole time.
Go for it, you won't regret it!
