💪 Meet KYRA MILLIGAN 💪

At just 1.5 years old and 46 lbs, Kyra is living proof that strength and sweetness can absolutely coexist.

Like her namesake, she's athletic, resilient, and has a growing fan club wherever she goes. At daycare, she's basically a celebrity. She's made friends with dogs of all sizes, patiently tolerates the chaos of younger pups, and somehow manages to be both the life of the party and the sweetest cuddle buddy in the room.

Kyra is equal parts goofball and lovebug. She's deeply food motivated (read: she will absolutely attempt to place her own order at a dog-friendly coffee shop), loves making new friends, and is always down for an adventure. She's crate trained, dog-friendly, and has a heart as big as her smile.

Our goal is to recruit 25 new foster homes by June 20th so that we can continue saying "yes" to dogs in need, including a group of 18 dogs that need urgent rescue from the island of Dominica. The reality is simple: we can only rescue when we have foster homes available.

This , we’d like to introduce you to a dog whose greatest passion in life can be summed up in two words: belly rubs.

Meet Iris. 🌈🤍

At 9 years old, Iris has traveled all the way from the U.S. Virgin Islands, survived life on the streets, and somehow emerged with one very clear priority: finding the nearest human willing to pet her.

Seriously. This girl is an expert cuddler.

She loves meeting new people, happily accepts attention from just about everyone, and has mastered the art of flopping over for belly rubs whenever the opportunity presents itself. If pets stop before she's ready? Expect a gentle nudge, a paw tap, or a look that says, "Excuse me, I believe we were in the middle of something."

Iris continues to settle beautifully into foster care. She's house trained, loves her crate, knows "sit," and is happiest spending her days lounging, cuddling, and being told she's pretty. Her foster describes her as goofy, gentle, intelligent, and just a little bit clumsy—which honestly only adds to her charm.

Right now, Iris is preparing for heartworm treatment, which means lots of rest, relaxation, and limited activity in the weeks ahead. Thankfully, being a couch potato comes naturally to her.

Like many dogs with difficult pasts, Iris still has things she's working on. Other dogs can be overwhelming for her on leash, and she'll need a family willing to continue helping her navigate those moments. But when it comes to people? Iris has an enormous heart and so much love to give.

She's the kind of dog who doesn't need grand adventures.

Just a soft bed.

A calm home.

And someone willing to provide belly rubs on demand.

Did somebody call a doctor? Lucky for you, we have the best surgeon from Sacred Heart Hospital: Meet Turk! Turk and his fellow Scrubs cast come to Badass from an overcrowded shelter in Dallas, TX.

🩺 Turk may be a surgeon, but he is only 1 year old and 23 pounds! He recently arrived to his NYC foster home and is settling in. He's learning just how incredible it is to be in a home with limitless treats and head scratches.

🧊 Turk's favorite toys are of the chewing variety! He loves his kong and an ice cube on a hot summer day.

👞 Turk cannot talk, but he certainly knows how to get his point across. Recently, he brought shoes to his foster to communicate it was time to go outside! He didn't want to miss a moment of squirrel and bird watching.
