CALLING ALL VINCENTIAN WRITERS AND FILM-MAKERS!
This year, the Hairouna Film Festival (Hairouna Film Festival) is collaborating with Soho House (UK) to host Hairouna Film Lab - a script-writing competition open to all Vincentians. Hairouna Film Lab is a talent incubator designed to support Vincentians looking to take the next step as screenwriters and film-makers.
The Process: Ten scripts will be shortlisted from all entries, chosen by a panel of industry experts. Those shortlisted will be offered the opportunity to shoot a two-minute ‘proof of concept’ of their project; which can be shot on whatever equipment is available (including a mobile phone).
The top two most promising ‘proof of concepts’ will be selected as finalists, chosen by a panel of industry experts, and invited to join a three-day residency at Soho Beach House Canouan, where they will be joined by mentors, who are experts in their relevant industries.
At the residency, finalists will be given an additional three days to revise their scripts before final submission. The best overall script that has shown the most development will be awarded $10,000 USD to make their film - which must be filmed in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Submit scripts to [email protected] no later than April 30, 2021 by 6 p.m (AST).
