We are pleased to share a key update on this residential renovation: we are currently casting the ring beam.

For those unfamiliar with the term, a ring beam is a continuous reinforced horizontal support that runs around the top of the walls. Its primary purpose is to act like a ‘structural belt,’ tying the entire building together and evenly distributing the weight of the roof. This ensures the walls remain perfectly stable and prevents any future shifting or cracking.

Significant progress has been made on the building’s internal and external walls, with blocklaying now finalized for the master and guest bath areas. With the veranda slab successfully cast, the next phase involves ‘boxing up’ (formwork) for the columns and extending the living area masonry. Although hardware delivery latencies prompted a brief adjustment to our schedule, the site remains active and the quality of work remains on track.

In our commitment to enhancing the office environment, we are currently overseeing the strategic procurement of materials for the upcoming restroom upgrades. We are prioritizing modern, efficient solutions to better serve the needs of the staff and visitors.

We are pleased to report significant milestones in the development of the Modern Garage and Rental Service Centre.

Current earthworks include: structural excavation for the first-level elevation and site clearing for the primary administrative area. Having finalized the ground-floor setting out and excavation last week, the team is now proceeding with the application of weak concrete within the trenches to facilitate the installation of foundation footings. We also wish to acknowledge Fraser Construction for their commitment to excellence and the provision of premium materials, which have been vital to our timeline.

We would like to introduce our technical support partner, Junior’s Electrical Services, who will be assisting with this project.This morning, the team will be reviewing and marking the architectural drawings to designate the exact locations for all electrical components, including panels and outlets, in preparation for the upcoming work. Then they will be onsite shortly to mark the location as we approach installation of the electrical system.
