After watching Fortitude with film director Rashid Malikov at Art Hostel

Meeting with famous Uzbek filmmaker!
Dear guests this Friday you have a unique opportunity to get closer to Uzbek modern culture and understand dipper the mentality of local people and the troubles they face.
We are going to watch the picture Fortitude by Rashid Malikov - the famous Uzbek filmmaker, that won a jury prize at Moscow International Film Festival 2018. Rashid Malikov will personally present his film to the audience and then discuss it with spectators.
The plot of the movie:
1989 year. The former captain of the Soviet army Saidulla lives alone in a small house. In the same village lives his son, but he does not communicate with Saidulla and does not allow the grandson to communicate with his grandfather. He is often visited by one vision: an old army friend comes to visit. The same as he saw him for the last time alive - in uniform, with a gun. Once undergoing medical examination, Saidulla learns that he has cancer. There is very little left to live on, but we must get to the bottom of the most important thing: to bring water to school, reconcile with my son and visit a former colleague.

At the 1998 Cannes Film Festival, American independent director Todd Haynes received the "Artistic Achievement" award for this re-creation of the UK glam rock scene of the early '70s. Movie tells the story of the fictional pop star Brian Slade whose image is paralleled with David Bowie’s and his relationship with outrageous, maniacal American singer Curt Wild. And doesn't take a genius to recognize Iggy Pop in this singer.

This picture is recommended to watch for those who have a lack of trash in their routine life and of course it’s for those who heart strings are touched by the names of above mentioned musicians.

This is a 2007 American drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano. The film was inspired by Upton Sinclair's novel Oil!.
There Will Be Blood received significant critical praise, with the performance of Day-Lewis as Daniel Plainview receiving widespread acclaim. Other qualities of the film, such as its cinematography, direction, and screenplay, were also lauded and received numerous awards and nominations.
Day-Lewis won Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, NYFCC and IFTA Best Actor awards for his performance, cementing his position as one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation. The film was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, winning Best Actor for Day-Lewis and Best Cinematography for Robert Elswit.

There Will Be Blood was among the highest-ranking 21st century films in the British Film Institute's 2012 Sight & Sound polls. It was also named the "Best Film of the 21st Century So Far" in 2017 by The New York Times.
A film score was written by Jonny Greenwood - the lead guitarist and keyboardist of the rock band Radiohead. He won a Special Artistic Contribution Award at the Berlin International Film Festival for his work in this picture.

The movie will be shown in English with Russian subtitles.

А это наш art hostelовский питомец!Мурочка!)Она очень дружелюбная и ласковая!)У всех наших гостей она оставляет только хорошие впечатления)Вот например когда она спала кто то из наших гостей не сдержался и накрыл ее одеялком чтобы не мерзла))))

P.S.она так сладко спала,что просто нельзя было пройти мимо и не сфотографировать)

It's our art hostel's pet! Murochka!) She is very friendly and affectionate!) She leaves only good impressions for our guests.) For example, when she was sleeping someone from our guests could not restrain herself and covered her with a blanket so she would not freeze))))

P.S. so she slept so sweetly that could not simply pass by and not take pictures)
