Think after 9 attempts I am happy with this new stitch

One of the things that I do is fiber repair. This beautiful Tunisian crocheted afghan decided to come apart in the wash, so I have the privilege of fixing all the centers and securing so it won't come apart again. Tonight I used baby cable ties that were on hand because they were too small to use on anything to secure all the loose stitches. Now it's ready to be handled so that I can get to sewing it next week.

Ever had such a fine repair job that you needed to use sewing needles to knit? This is a project that I actually remembered to take pictures. First photo is after the owner repaired, last photo is how it currently looks. Still needs some duplicate stitches and general cleaning of edges.

Memory bears to cuddle with for the loved one that's missing this Holiday season.

I had the privilege these last 2 weeks to work on repairing a 2 sided crocheted Afghan for a customer. It's not perfect, but since it's many years old, I did the best I could with matching up the yarn.

Finished Hubby's sweater, just waiting for it's bath now

I gave hubby a box of yarn for Christmas. Plan was to design and make him a sweater that would actually fit. You see, I've made him sweaters before that haven't fit right. So to accomplish this I needed to be able to fit it to him as I constructed it. Finally found some time to start it during this sub-zero snap. I figure that I'll get it finished right about the time it warms up and then we won't have any more arctic weather this winter, right???

So this little gal is spending her first night in her new home, a memory bear made for a client from her grandmother's shirts. I hope they get lots of cuddles!

I'm not sure that I even posted about another design that I finished last week. A combination of knit and crochet-it needs a name, and is ready for testing as soon as I finish writing it up. As always, please contact me if you are interested in testing
