Nameless (Week 1) - with Pastor Tom Burks

Join us this Saturday at 5:00pm or on Sunday at 9:00am or 11:00am.

We are kicking off a brand-new sermon series this Sunday, and the name of the series is…
Nameless.

Yes. The series has a name.
The name is Nameless.
No, we did not forget to fill in the title. No, this is not a placeholder. No, there is not another word coming after it.

We have officially named a sermon series Nameless, and somehow we all just have to move forward with our lives knowing that.

NAMELESS. That’s the name. We’re all caught up.
Pastor Tom will be back later this week after being out of town for the past few weeks, and he’ll be kicking off the series with a message about Naaman’s servants.
And that, dear friends, is approximately everything I know.

Tom has been gone.
I have not received the sermon.
I do not have his notes.
I do not have three cleverly alliterated points.
I do not have an inspirational quote.
I have Naaman. Servants. Nameless. Tom. Sunday.
This newsletter is being written on faith.

What we do know is that Naaman’s story in 2 Kings 5 includes some unnamed people who played surprisingly important roles. People whose names never made it into the story, but whose words and actions mattered anyway.

Which, considering the series is called Nameless, feels promising.

There will presumably be Scripture.
There will almost certainly be Jesus.
Pastor Tom will hopefully remember how to get to the church.

And somewhere between now and this weekend, he will probably tell the rest of us what he plans to say.

Until then, consider this your official, highly detailed sermon preview:

The servants are also nameless.

When we gather each weekend already familiar with the songs and centered on Christ, we're able to worship with greater freedom, confidence, and unity. Worship doesn't begin when the music starts on Sunday—it begins with hearts that are surrendered and expectant throughout the week.

Hope Revealed (Week 8) with Pastor Tag Bender

Join us this Saturday at 5:00pm or on Sunday at 9:00am or 11:00am.

We made it to the end of Revelation! If you’ve been keeping up with the dragons, trumpets, bowls, battles, and plot twists, you deserve a gold star. Possibly a study Bible with extra notes. But don’t miss the ending, because it’s the reason we’ve been reading all along.

This Sunday, Tag will wrap up our Hope Revealed series in Revelation 21–22, where God gives us a glimpse of what’s coming: He will make all things new. No more death. No more grief. No more pain. And yes, while we’re at it, we’re all hoping that means no more passwords that require a capital letter, a symbol, and the name of your first pet. Revelation doesn’t address the password situation specifically, but the rest of the promise is pretty incredible.

The tricky part is living faithfully while we wait. It’s easy to say “trust God” when everything is going well. It’s a little harder when you’ve prayed the same prayer 400 times, life feels heavy, and even your phone’s estimated wait time keeps changing. Tag will remind us why we can keep showing up, keep trusting Jesus, and keep taking the next step: we know who gets the final word.

Bring a friend and join us this weekend. We’ll finish this series with the hope that carries us through everything between now and then: Jesus wins. Remain faithful. The promise is worth the wait.
