Not every cracked pool filter should be repaired with just a new bottom tank.
Here in Yuma, our extreme heat can cause older filter tanks to warp over time. Installing a new bottom tank onto an older top tank may not create a proper seal, which can lead to leaks and even more expensive repairs down the road.
Sometimes replacing the entire filter is the safest and most cost-effective solution in the long run.

It got worse before it got better. 👀 After treating the metals and lowering the alkalinity, this pool turned into a swamp overnight. We added chlorine, and within 3 hours the algae was dead and settled to the floor. Tomorrow it’ll be crystal clear after a vacuum and filter cleaning. Trust the process. 💧

Sodium bisulfate is definitely a faster solution to this kind of problem. However if you don’t have it, there’s always this option.
