Last night’s Board of Education meeting included a progress update on the Mustang High School expansion, and it’s exciting to see this project continuing to take shape.

Construction is moving forward across multiple areas of the addition, including the storm shelter and archery range, cafeteria kitchen and serving space, functional and life skills classrooms, sensory rooms, and second-floor spaces for e-sports and journalism. Exterior work is also progressing, with waterproofing underway and masonry and metal wall panels coming next.

This expansion is designed to support student safety, increase capacity, and create flexible learning spaces that reflect the wide range of programs offered at Mustang High School.

None of this would be possible without the support of our community. Thank you to the voters who approved the Bond and continue to invest in Mustang students, staff, and the future of our district. We’re proud to show that trust at work.

We’ll continue sharing updates as this project moves forward.

A quick reminder for everyone traveling Mustang roads, especially near our school sites.

We have seen an increase in vehicles speeding through school zones, driving past flashing crosswalk lights, and stopping on crosswalks while lights are active and crossing guards are in the roadway. These actions create serious safety risks for students, staff, and volunteers who are simply trying to cross safely.

Please help keep our Broncos safe by doing the following every day:
β€’ Slow down in school zones and follow posted speed limits
β€’ Watch for flashing crosswalk lights and stop when they are activated
β€’ Never block a crosswalk, especially when a crossing guard is present
β€’ Stay alert for students walking or biking to and from school

A few extra seconds of patience can prevent a lifetime of consequences. Thank you for doing your part to keep our school communities safe.
