On this Labor Day weekend, I am honored to be endorsed by so many of the hard working York Countians who educate our children, build our homes and workplaces, and construct and maintain our infrastructure. I salute all working women and men, who get up every day, and head to jobs to take care of their families and make our communities better. Send me to Harrisburg November 3rd, and I will work hard every day to make life more affordable for you.

I was honored to join Rep. Carol Hill-Evans, York Mayor Sandie Walker, President Commissioner Julie Wheeler, State Senator Dawn Keefer and other elected officials in dedicating College Avenue in downtown York in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On this 63rd anniversary of Dr. King’s “I have a dream” speech, we each must speak up against efforts to divide us and create groups to hate. Remember Jesus’ admonition: “What you do to the least of my people you do to me.”

Congratulations Nancy and thank you Mayor Hormel! As a Democrat endorsed by several Republican elected officials (some publicly, some privately) as well as independents and the Forward Party of PA, I applaud both of these leaders for showing the way to cooperation that will benefit their shared constituents.

Thank you to Hanover Mayor, Heidi Hormel for her endorsement. Our conversation wasn’t about party. It was about the people we both care about and the challenges families are facing right now. We were able to talk openly about healthcare, education, affordability, and how we can make government work better for PA-11.

The other candidate in this election has not responded to this key, nonpartisan survey, during the special election in May or now.

West Manchester Township is receiving more than $400,000 to upgrade traffic signals to improve traffic flow at five key intersections. Cooperation between state and local government is something I will stress as your representative in Harrisburg. My experience working in both levels of government will pay off for you.

West Manchester Township: $408,708 for traffic signal upgrades at five intersections along the Route 74 corridor:

Carlisle Road/Brougher Lane.

Carlisle Avenue and:

York Crossing Drive.
