California's Age Appropriate Design Code Act (ADCA) is making its way through the legislature and is likely to pass. For publishers and game developers, the ramifications are quite important. The age of consent is increased from 13 to 18 (meaning anyone less than 18 years old is considered a child). With vast swathes of online and mobile video, game and social sites being used by kids under 18, this regulation will trigger a tsunami of change for most popular sites.
