We transformed these corners into garden beds mulched with natural, dye-free mulch. Beds which were once planted with grass and non-native weeds are now planted with natives: foamflower, black-eyed susans, wild ginger, canadian anemone, and culver's root! The homeowner also requested Stewartstonian Azaleas to honor the area.

We love native plants because they are usually easy to cultivate, provide food for wildlife, and paint the ecological history of our region.

We took a trip to Tobyhanna State Park in the Poconos. Do you recognize these native plants? Can you name them?
