As a future physician, I’m learning every day that heart disease is not just common—it’s the leading cause of death worldwide, and so much of it is preventable.

Heart disease doesn’t look the same in everyone. Symptoms can be subtle, especially in women, and risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, stress, and physical inactivity often go unnoticed until it’s too late. That’s why education, early screening, and prevention are just as powerful as treatment.

Supporting the American Heart Association today means supporting research, public health initiatives, and patient education that save lives long before someone ever reaches a hospital bed.

Wearing red is a reminder that caring for your heart starts now. Know your numbers. Move your body. Eat with intention. Advocate for your health.

Happy National Women Physician Day🤍🩺 I encountered a tremendous amount of female doctors I admire so for their work ethic this past year in medical school…. they juggle the responsibilities and tasks of life so gracefully with their careers! You truly can have the best of both worlds in medicine, and I can’t wait to be next! T-Minus 45 days until MATCH

Hold up, we’re in the last week of January already AND I only have 4 more weeks of medical school… soon to be Dr. Roberts-McDonald, MD🥹🤍 As I reflect on my interview season, I am humbled by the amount of questions I was asked surrounding my years of promoting 🩺👑 you truly can have the best of both worlds and do it all (just maybe with a extra cup of coffee)! Thank you to pageantry for giving the poise, the confidence, the stories, but most importantly resilience to pursue one of the most difficult, male dominated careers!

Many many years later and we are still volunteering with Rock It Kids! Words can’t express the love I have for the Shriners as they are walking around Kid Rocks Concert all day to sell CDs to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children! As I wear my GrandDad’s sweatshirt proudly, he was shining his light down smiling as we were raising money and awareness for the hospitals! He believed in the organization with his whole heart and I am determined to keep his legacy alive! Fly high my angel TER 👼

I had the pleasure of helping package food at the food pantry giving back to the Harrisburg community! I can’t emphasize enough how you don’t know what someone is going through everyday and a simple smile to a bag of groceries can profoundly impact their life! Even as a fourth year medical student who has been studying for her LAST board of medical school, you make time for those that matter to you… this is a cause that matters and truly impacts so many each and every day! I truly love ALL the good the Salvation Army does… they truly “Do The Most Good”
