This week I took Stockholm and Beowulf to MAEMC which is where it all began, and the reason I am a veterinarian today. So grateful to have such amazing veterinarians, colleagues and technicians taking such great care of my boys! ❤️
(And yes, everyone is fine! 😊)

It’s always hard going from being the doctor to being the client when Quinn was sick yesterday. I am so very lucky to practice along side of so many amazing doctors and nurses at all of the practices I have the privilege of working with. I appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️
Quinn is home and feeling much better!

Keno is a 10 month old pup, who presented to me in the ER for lethargy, a decreased appetite, and the owners noticing that his urine was extremely bright yellow. On presentation, he was pale with an elevated heart rate and poor pulses. Bloodwork confirmed marked anemia. As he is a mischievous puppy, he sometimes eats inappropriate things around the house so radiographs were performed showing metallic objects in the stomach. Keno received a blood transfusion to stabilize him prior to an having an endoscopy to remove the objects. The pieces of metal were Zinc, which causes toxicity in dogs. Fortunately, Keno has done very well, and is expected to make a full recovery thanks to his astute owners. So happy to have helped this lovely boy! ❤️

As an Emergency Veterinarian, rarely does a day go by that I’m not faced with having difficult and emotional conversations with owners. There are many particularly hard days where empathetic strain can be overwhelming. It’s easy to question at the end of the day whether you make a difference. Today, I received the most beautiful hand written card containing a sentiment card and charm. It’s amazing how such a small thing can impact your day and make you feel completely rejuvenated. I’m so thankful for this client’s special gift today. ❤️

TVS had a very important business meeting today.
