On February 22nd, SQ performed at the WBA Concert, In Blue and Gold. We performed "Blue Skies" and "My Favorite Things." This was our final performance before going on tour with the WPI Jazz Groups to Germany and Poland!

We will be performing again at Alden Hall on April 25th. We hope to see you there! 🎷

🌟 Meet Our Members Mondays 🌟

For our final installment of Meet Our Members Mondays, we have Franklin Weiss!! Franklin is our bari sax player. He is a Math and Physics double major in the class of 2028. Franklin's favorite song is Moanin' (the Mingus version) and his favorite music memory is, β€œIn marching band, we had to perform emergency surgery on infamously bad tenor sax β€˜Elmer the Selmer’ because the neck was duct taped to the body of the horn with a cleaning swab stuck inside of it.”

Mattan Mohel is our second tenor sax player. He is a Math and Physics double major in the class of 2027. Mattan's favorite song is Joy Spring and his favorite music memory is, β€œI once messed up an entire concert because I had a thimble stuck in my horn.”

🌟 Meet Our Members Mondays 🌟

Finn Regan is one of our tenor sax players. They are a Computer Science and IMGD double major in the class of 2028. Finn's favorite song is Sunny Side of the Street and their favorite music memory is, "At a high school football game with the maching band, it was so cold that we were all an entire half step flat, so we all had to play up a note to sound the same."

Kristen is our alto sax player. She is a Computer Science and Physics double major with a minor in Music, graduating in the class of 2027. Kristen's favorite song is Did I Remember by Catherine Russel and her favorite music memory is, "my bass clarinet rod snapped once as I walked on for a concert, so I used a hair tie to hold it together for the rest of the performance."

🌟 Meet Our Members Mondays 🌟

Zach Burgoon is our soprano and alto sax player. He is a Robotics Engineering and Computer Science double major in the class of 2028. Zach's favorite song is DanzΓ³n no. 2 and his favorite memory is, "I once snapped a screw in half right before a concert then had to hold the neck of the baritone sax up with my knee for the whole concert."
