The NPM Worcester Chapter is the local association of Roman Catholic Pastoral Musicians in the Diocese of Worcester.

Tomorrow, October 6, NPM will officially reveal a new name for our association—marking an exciting next step after 50 years of serving the Church through sacred song and musical leadership.

This evolution honors our rich history while positioning us to welcome future generations of church musicians and better reflect who we are today.

Here's what you need to know:
1. Our focus remains the same. Our core commitment to supporting, forming, and advocating for liturgical musicians and leaders does not change.
2. Your membership, benefits, account access, and resources will continue seamlessly.
3. Watch your inbox at 9:00 am Eastern Time on October 6 for the full announcement, complete with our new name, visual identity, and vision for the future.

For 50 years, NPM has been a home for all who serve the Church through song. As we honor our history and look toward the future, we are preparing for an exciting evolution in our shared identity.

As we shared at the 2026 Members' Meeting, we will officially unveil a new name for our organization. This announcement will be shared on October 6.

While our name is evolving, our mission remains exactly the same: to support, form, and empower you in your ministry.

Following the presentation, enjoy conversation, prayer, and fellowship. If you're not scheduled to serve, you're also warmly invited to stay for the Cathedral's 5:30 PM Mass.

All who serve in parish music ministry are invited to a Morning of Prayer and Reflection on the Feast of St. Cecilia on November 22nd! 🎶

As a part of the Jubilee Year, this gathering is an opportunity for choirs, cantors, soloists, and instrumentalists to step away from the usual rhythm of ministry and be refreshed in prayer, community, and song. OCP Reading Session Reminder This Weekend

This Saturday, August 17th join experienced clinician, Scot Crandal, for a FREE lively reading session to sing through OCP choral music. Sure to enhance your music ministry, these sessions teach the ins and outs of titles you’ll want to introduce to your choir, along with some valuable vocal techniques. Engage with peers in your area, learn skills to improve your parish liturgies and have fun exploring new music for the seasons.

Praying for our friends in the Archdiocese of Boston as they welcome their new shepherd.

The Holy Father announced that he has named the Most Reverend Richard G. Henning, S.T.D. as the tenth bishop and seventh archbishop of the Archdiocese of Boston. Archbishop-elect Henning is currently the Bishop of the Diocese of Providence. Following morning Mass in the Bethany Chapel, Cardinal Seán and Archbishop-elect Henning will hold a joint press conference this morning.
