We’re proud to announce that MassEquality PAC has endorsed Will Brownsberger for State Senate.
Will has been a longtime champion of LGBTQ+ equality. He helped lead the effort to pass Massachusetts’ landmark 2016 transgender nondiscrimination law, expanding protections for transgender people in public accommodations, and has continued fighting discrimination based on gender identity and defending access to gender-affirming care

We’ve been fighting back against the waves of book challenges across the Commonwealth for the last seven years. And today, we were ecstatic to see An Act Regarding Free Expression signed into law at the Franklin Public Library, the oldest public library in our country. We owe a world of thanks to our legislative and advocacy partners for fighting back for a Commonwealth where freedom of speech and the freedom to read are protected.

MassEquality PAC has endorsed Marjorie Decker because LGBTQ+ rights need proven leadership. She’s championed LGBTQ+ healthcare, gender-affirming care, and a first-in-the-nation trust to sustain access to care when trans people need it most.

Protecting the Right to Read in MA!
An Act Regarding Free Expression heads to Governor Healey’s desk.
Late last week, the Massachusetts House and Senate officially sent An Act Regarding Free Expression (S.2696) to Governor Healey’s desk!
Nationwide, we are witnessing an unprecedented wave of censorship targeting books that celebrate LGBTQ+ individuals, trans history, and diverse experiences. This critical bill sets statewide standards to protect our public and school libraries from politically motivated book bans, safeguarding open access to knowledge and protecting our dedicated librarians from harassment.
Representation saves lives. When LGBTQ+ youth can read stories that reflect their lives and experiences, they know they belong.
A massive THANK YOU to our legislative allies , , , , , , ,
Additional thanks to our advocacy partners &
Now, we look forward to Governor Healey signing this vital legislation into law!

On the final day of Pride Month, the U.S. Supreme Court issued another devastating decision affecting transgender youth. This marks the second consecutive Pride Month in which the Court has handed down a ruling that weakens protections for transgender young people.
While today's decision is heartbreaking, our commitment remains unchanged. MassEquality will continue advocating for policies that ensure every LGBTQ+ person can live, learn, and thrive with dignity and belonging.
