Thank you for the overwhelming amount of donations for our Thanksgiving food drive! Yesterday students in transition class estimated the cost of food items and then compared to the actual price. They then packaged over 30 bags and three huge boxes of over 500 donated items! Today they delivered to all four Worvester Community Fridges! Thank you again for all the generous donations and Happy Thanksgiving!

To kick off the holiday season, our high school transition class is engaged in their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive! The project ties into their learning about the cost of food and holiday preparation. They also learned about local food insecurity where 15% of Worcester residents experience this. Non-perishable items centered around the Thanksgiving meal can be donated at the Academy until Wednesday, November 26th. On that day, the students will deliver them to the local Community Fridge project. Thank you in advance!
