🎵 New Original Composition Release for Music Inclusion Hub and Castle of our Skins! 🎵

We’re excited to share as i recall, a new string ensemble composition by Yaz Lancaster!

Drawing inspiration from Negro spirituals, the piece incorporates student-composed musical fragments alongside elements of Black American musical traditions, including guided improvisation and call-and-response. Together, these ideas create a powerful reflection on memory, storytelling, and the importance of preserving the histories of oppressed peoples through both written and oral traditions.
