Today we kicked off the first day of Bancroft Summer Day Camp 2026! ☀️ We welcomed back many familiar faces and met new friends as another summer of fun, learning, and adventure begins.

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, reflection, and progress. 🇺🇸✊🏽

Yellowstone ✅ in: Our students stepped into the role of wildlife researchers on day one in the park! 🦬

As part of the Home on the Range Ungulate Study, they worked with the National Park Service to collect data on a bison herd in Lamar Valley. After learning about the history and conservation of bison in the United States, students headed into the field to observe the herd and contribute to real scientific research.

A highlight was watching bison calves play and relax in the sunshine! Students are now building on their field observations by developing their own research questions inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Bancroft Summer Discovery | Tuesday, July 7th 3:30-5:00 PM | Prospective families are invited to join Bancroft School Admission and Bancroft Summer for a family night out. Outdoor games, Buddies & Bingo, snow cones and optional BBQ is available for purchase - don't miss the campus tours!

Summer Preview Days | July 21st and August 12th | 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Join us on campus. Prospective families are invited to visit, ask questions, and explore what’s possible through informal campus tours, conversations with faculty and community members.

Summer ☀️ may be underway for our students, but a number of our faculty and staff are still in school 🏫 this week hard at work during Think 💭 Camp❕Think Camp is a three-day intensive camp that provides time, space, and collaborative energy for employees to devote to program and curriculum development.

🎉 Big congratulations to First Grade Teacher Kaitlyn Conor for receiving this year’s Isa Bayon Bowl! 🌟

This special award honors individuals who best embody the spirit of the bowl’s motto, “for sowing seeds of a lifetime.”

Named in honor of beloved former faculty member Isa Bayon, the award recognizes those who make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom by nurturing students, supporting colleagues, and strengthening our community through kindness, connection, and care.

Way to go, Ms. Conor! 💙

Update:
Yesterday evening, the first Coach O’Brien Scholarship Fund recipient, Will Lewis IV graduated as part of Bancroft School’s 2026 class. Will is an incredible young man who carries so much of Coach O’Brien’s spirit and passion with him every day. We could not be more proud of everything he has accomplished in his four years at Bancroft.
Will is off to Regis College this fall where he will study Business and continue his basketball career.
