It’s time! Join Holy Cross Rowing at Head of the Charles tomorrow 10/19 and Sunday 10/20. The women’s alumnae 8+ kicks off racing on Saturday at 11:10 AM. Next is women’s club 4+ at 12:53 PM, men’s club 8+ at 1:18 PM, and women’s club 8+ at 1:32 PM. On Sunday, watch the men’s collegiate 8+ at 2:09 PM.

On Saturday, join HCARA at Notch Brewery & Tap Room in Brighton after racing. The address is 525 Western Ave., Brighton, MA 02135.

Stop by the trailer which will be in the FALS area. Exact location TBA.

HOCR ALUMNI BOATS! Fill out the interest form (linked in our Instagram bio and pasted below) if you would like to row or cox in this year’s HOCR. We are putting in bids for one men’s 8+ and women’s 8+, and potentially 4+’s depending on interest. If racing, participants should expect a cost of $100 to go towards their boat’s entry fees.

Boating and seats will depend on interest.

Details about spectating and social gathering for afterwards are TBA.

25 years ago, HCWR competed in the first annual Jesuit Invitational in 1999 hosted by St Joseph’s. Pictured are the crews 25 years apart. This Saturday, HCWR is traveling to Philadelphia to compete in the annual regatta and defend their title. They had a strong Fall season and are excited to compete in their first race of the Spring!

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate one of the original rosters of pictured above from the 1976 yearbook photo. Almost 50 years ago!

The Love the Fight-a-thon fundraiser, in honor of Grace Rett ‘22, begins a week from today 💜 The event will run from 6 AM on 12/15 through 8 PM on 12/17 at Our Lady of the Valley School’s GRACE Center in Uxbridge, MA. Present HCWR members will be erging in shifts for the duration of the event, and HCWR Alumnae are participating in shifts on Sunday, 12/17 from 10 AM - 5 PM.

ALL alumni are invited to drop by this lively event to say hello or check out the beautiful center throughout the weekend.

Calling all Crusader Alumnae! Head down to the Donahue Rowing Center this weekend, 10/28, for a some friendly competition in a 500m SPRINT! We’ll cheer on the current HC women’s rowers in the morning during their home race, the Wormtown Chase, and will then launch around 12 PM.

HOCR WEEKEND! Watch the alumni and varsity teams from the Elliott bridge, swing by the trailer to say hello if you’d like, and head over to Notch Brewery around 3 PM for good times in purple!

Notch Brewery is about a 15 minute walk from the trailer parking lot. The exact trailer location will be announced once it makes its way to the Charles. See you there!
