On Wednesday, May 13, Worcester Polytechnic Institute celebrated the 2026 Bay State Battalion ROTC Commissioning Ceremony as 19 graduating cadets officially transitioned into Second Lieutenants in the United States Army. 🇺🇸🎉

The ceremony, held in Alden Hall on WPI's campus, marked a major milestone for these new Army Officers as they took their oath and received their gold bars. Congratulations to the Army's newest leaders as they begin their journeys of service to our Nation and leadership excellence! 🫡🌟

Last Thursday through Sunday, Bay State Battalion conducted a Combined Field Training Exercise (CFTX), a crucial training event preparing the MS3s for CST26.

Last weekend, all MS4s participated in a battlefield staff ride at Gettysburg, in Pennsylvania, where they learned about the Battle of Gettysburg and leadership lessons as future officers. Walking the ground where history was made, it was indeed a great experience for the entire group.

Last Saturday, Bay State Battalion conducted a Raid lab in order to prepare MS3s for the upcoming CFTX and CST.

Senior Spotlight Post, Part 2!

With graduation and commissioning just around the corner, we want to take this time to highlight our MS4s as they finish up their final semester of college and prepare to embark upon their careers as Army officers!

Next up, we are highlighting Cadets Thompson, Saunier, Mokonchu, Lopes, McGraw, Parish, Doroski, Isaac, and Cholpon.

With graduation and commissioning just around the corner, we want to take this time to highlight our MS4s as they finish up their final semester of college! In just a few short months, our seniors will be entering their respective components and branches, where they will begin their careers as Army officers.

First up, we are highlighting Cadets Illanes, Walsh, Tomellini, Stroupe, Kiley, Joseph, Paranjape, Nguyen, Beaurpere, and Webster.

This past Sunday, the Bay State Battalion participated in the Worcester St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Cadets and Cadre marched in the parade, distributing Bay State Battalion swag and plenty of candy along the route.

Today, Bay State Battalion conducted their ambush lab in preparation for CST. After rehearsing indoors, they moved outside to put their training into practice. Despite the challenging weather, our cadets showed up and showed out.
