Welcome back to Financial Fridays.
This week’s recap highlights recent funding activity, including the total amount requested, the total amount approved, and a few notable funding requests supported through Financial Board. This week’s featured requests include WPI IEEE Solid-State Circuit Society, Student Music Association, and High Power Rocketry Club.
This week’s financial fun fact is all about the difference between a prize and a raffle. SGA cannot fund raffle items, but it can fund prizes. If something is won purely by chance, it counts as a raffle item. If it is earned primarily through skill, it may be funded as a prize, up to $1 per expected attendee.
We’re also spotlighting a Senate funding request from the Photography Club, which received $32,500 to expand the club through new photo and video equipment.
