The Worcester Fire Department regrets to announce the active-duty death of Captain Jason Couture. Capt. Couture started with the department in 1997 and has carried a strong presence as a leader and a mentor over the years. Please keep Jay and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

A funeral service will be held for Captain Couture on Wednesday February 25, 2026 at 11:00AM at St. Johns Church, 44 Temple St, Worcester.

Today we pause to remember the sacrifice of Firefighter Chris Roy. 7 years after paying the ultimate sacrifice, rest in peace.

Today we remember Firefighter Jon Davies who paid the ultimate sacrifice 14 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
