Four years and counting! 🌱💙

Earlier this month, Naika and Ciara spent the morning helping with the annual Spring Cleanup at Columbus Park Preparatory Elementary School. From raking leaves and pulling weeds to spreading mulch and freshening up the school grounds, they were all in to help make the campus shine for students and staff.

We're incredibly grateful to Principal Lisa Carigan for welcoming us back each year and to everyone who makes this tradition possible. Here's to four years of rolling up our sleeves and making a difference together!

Some of the most impactful ideas begin with a simple conversation.

What started as discussions with Main South small business owners about rising rents and the dream of owning their own storefronts became something that had never been done before in Massachusetts: affordable, lease-to-own commercial condominiums designed to help local entrepreneurs build stability, invest in their futures, and create generational wealth.

Projects like this don't happen by accident. They happen when organizations prioritize the people who have built a community and work to ensure they have the opportunity to grow alongside it.

As part of this effort, Bay State Bank has worked with five of the future owners to help prepare them for commercial mortgages, offering below-market financing and reduced down payment requirements to make ownership more attainable. Not because it's the easy path, but because creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs strengthens Main South and the people who call it home.

This is an opportunity unlike anything we have ever been part of, and a reminder that meaningful change happens when a community comes together around a shared vision for its future.
