Our Worcester Talking Book Library staff were celebrated at the Worcester Red Sox game today in honor of their National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled Subregional Library of the Year award. So fun!!!

Great opportunity to give back to the low vision community, sponsored by our friends at EYE AUDIO RADIO
EyeAudioRadio is promoting the inaugural Eye Health Awareness Night at the WooSox game at Polar Park, Thursday, August 13, 2026. Our theme: "Take Me Out to the Ballgame!" We hope to draw a record crowd for our first event, and invite folks to generously donate tickets to blind and visually impaired individuals who may not be able to afford to buy a ticket.
Please spread the word and join us as we recognize eye care professionals and supporters, caregivers and volunteers.
We will have the 2025 International Optician of the Year throwing out a celebratory first pitch, and we hope to have a parade of members from Gate A to the third-base concourse area before the game. The game, like all WooSox games, is audio-described on EyeAudioRadio.org.

The live audio described production of “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks’ celebration will take place on Saturday evening, July 4, 2026 from 8:00 to 10:00 PM ET, 5:00 to 7:00 PM PT on NBC. Live audio description will be provided by Descriptive Video Works, and the description talent will be presented by Sarah Mennell.
