Snuck im a little relaxation after a long day work, and managed to catch this chunk.

First pic from the first river trip of the year. Need to tease you all a little, since I know everyone wants to see big smallies, here’s a nice Walleye I caught. Certainly not a trophy fish for the hardcore walleye guys, but for me, only having caught a dozen or so, this is definitely the biggest eye that I’ve caught, and certainly put a smile on my face.

🤬🤬🤬 Pretty awesome day on the river (photos soon to come) wrapped up by finding this at the boat ramp. Someone was nice enough to smash into my trailer, crush the fender into the tire, knock it over about 2 feet out of the parking spot, and then just leave. What’s wrong with people?

First smallie of the season, should be first of many. Not exactly a big one, but look at the belly, she’s been eating! Nothing better than chasing bronzebacks.

As promised, no more eboat posts for a little bit, back to the fish pictures! Here’s the first double up on the freshly rebuilt bass-ton whaler, on it’s maiden voyage even!

I picked up my RT188 from about a year and a half ago, mid season.I spent several weeks coming up with a solution to get the jet height just right (I menationed it’s a jet boat, right?) for the hull. After doing all that, combined with it being right in the middle of the season, I definitely rushed the install for all my units. Used some of the factory accessory wiring and just overall didn’t do a great job, which isn’t a great look for the marine electronics guy. With building a house last season, I barely used the boat, let alone getting it fixed, but problem no more! I’ve spent some time the past few weeks getting everything straightened out. Seperate fuse panel for all the electronics, new mount at the bow and a new at the console. Plus a few goodies from so I never have to flip a switch in my battery compartment again! Glad I finally got around to getting it all fixed up right, and looking forward to a great season on the river!

Kayak fishing has been a little bit Crappie lately, so I think it’s time for a change.

First shore fish of the season last night. Fishing is going to start getting really good really soon.

Wow, 2 successful open water outings this season so far, and it’s not even April yet! We’re off to a good start this year.

Only about a week late posting this, but first bass of 2024! Still so bizarre to be out in the kayak, not once but multiple times in March here in New England. Grateful for the good weather we’ve been having, and grateful to start the season.
