Hey, Outer Banks community! By now we’ve all heard about the awful explosion and house fire on the north end of Roanoke Island last Friday. The house is gone and our good friend Alan was airlifted to Norfolk for medical treatment. All of Buddy & Kate’s possessions were consumed in the fire and Alan’s medical bills will soon begin stacking up.

Our community has reached out asking how they can help. This weekend, Lost Colony Tavern is honoured to host a one-of-a-kind Benefit & Fundraiser to generate monetary donations for Alan’s treatment as well as physical donation of clothes, shoes, and toiletries for Buddy & Kate.

Join us this Saturday from 5:00-9:00 for entertainment and the spirit of giving! From 5:00-7:00, it’s Five O’Clock somewhere with JIMMY BUFFETT-themed Music Bingo hosted by Greg Smrdel. We’ll bring back the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and “Island Margarita” with all proceeds to benefit Mr. Beacham’s medical care. And then from 7:00-9:00, enjoy the sultry sounds of live music by RAMBLIN’ DAN, with every donation matched by Lost Colony Tavern.

For those wishing to bring physical donations,
Kate is a size large shirt, size 12-14 for pants/shorts, size 10 shoes. Buddy is a size XXL shirt, size 40 waist for pants/shorts, and size 12 shoe. They lost everything for their three dogs so we’re sure they would appreciate any dog toys or supplies. And of course, gift cards to Lowe’s, grocery stores, CVS, etc., would certainly help them get back on their feet.
