It’s a challenge getting fresh greens to the girls year round. They end up pulling the roots out or scratching & pulling up the grass (or my perennials) to find bugs & grubs. With this setup, they can stand on the mesh, get the tips of the grass, barley & timothy but the roots stay in tact. They’ve learned that if a bunch of them get on the mesh, they can reach more grass. In these pics, I’ve opened the boxes and it’s a grass free for all!!
