Good morning from Redding Motorsports Park. 2nd round qualifying starts at 11 this morning and we are 3rd class out. 17 cars in our class so far. Changed the main jet to fatten it up after last nights pass.

We opted to not pay extra for test and tune and save a little money. So weve been sitting around all day waiting for qualifying to start at 6. We warmed the car up and it was not running good at all. Cleaned the contacts in the cap and the rotor and it ran much better. However, felt like i was dragging an anchor as soon as I let go of the button and we are a ways away from the 8.60 target. However, the right lane seen here is Drew Grafton and he put together a much better run than we did. 2nd round qualifying starts at 11am tomorrow morning.

Round 3 we had the bye and Drew Grafton got the win light in his match up. That put us racing each other in the semi final. We were dead even at the tree and I broke out at the top end and he took the win. Earlier in the day we put a 6000 chip in the shift light so I would shift sooner and scrub a little ET since we were way too fast. So since it comes on sooner, it stays on as long as the engine is over 6000 rpm. During the day its not an issue, at night i found out its completely blinding. I made most of the pass blind and had no idea where the finish line was or how close I was to the center line still because it moved quick right at the hit. Glad the only win light I didn't get all weekend went to Drew, and unfortunately he was on the wrong end of a double breakout in the final round. After only a few runs all last season, we are pretty pleased how this season has started. Had most everything loaded by midnight last night before it started raining and we are on the road home now. Stay tuned, we got some new things coming

Eliminations Round #2. Had the advantage off the starting line and with a quick off the throttle and back on the throttle, got the win light. He stayed in the throttle trying to catch me, and he did by .002 seconds, just had to break out to do it. Had I stayed in the throttle I would have went 8.58. We are finally close to being dialed in after chasing the tune for 2 days. And we got the bye next round which out us straight in to the semifinals. Drew Grafton is getting win lights as well and when he gets the next round, we will see each other in the semis. Never wanna race Medford guys, but guarantees a Medford Dragstrip car in the final round

1st round eliminations. Unfortunately for my opponent he went -.004 red at the tree and gave me the win. Fortunately for me that gave me the opportunity at a free pass to see if our changes were finally getting us close. And we went 8.68, so cant complain about that. We also discovered after we got back that the mag has been moving during the pass and changing the timing 10*. I think thats been the gremlin weve been chasing all weekend, so now we can address that and keep going rounds

All warmed up and ready for round 2 qualifying. We lost a lot in 60' last night and they were cleaning the track in front of the rear tires after my burnout, so not sure if it spun and lost time or if the change in our tune worked that much. We are going to assume it was our tune and make a full pass this morning with a short shift and see where it goes.

1st round qualifying we fattened the fuel up, adjusted the shift point, and lifted at 1000' to try and get close to the 8.60. Should have been close, but we lost .6 seconds in the first 60' and on top of the things we did to slow down, only went 8.98@122mph. Not where we want to be, but at least we are on the right side of 8.60. Doing some maintenance this evening and an oil change and be ready for 2nd round qualifying in the morning.

Medford NE2 cars parked out here in the corner. Getting the car ready to warm up. Test and tune starts at 10 this morning, followed by qualifying.

1st round testing today went [email protected] mph with an .030 light. Changed the timing and ill change my shift point and hopefully we can get closer to the 8.60 target. One more test run today then qualifying at 5:30 this evening
