🦅Springwoods Volunteer of the Year✨

Some people volunteer their time.
Some people completely pour their heart into a school community.

That’s exactly who Alexandra Lungi is.

For the past two years — and now heading into her third and final term as PTA President — Alex has poured an unbelievable amount of time, energy, and heart into making Springwoods a place where students, staff, and families feel supported, celebrated, and connected.

This year alone, under her leadership, Springwoods PTA experienced one of the most successful years we’ve ever had:
🦅 Over $64,000 raised for our school
🦅 Record-breaking events and family engagement
🦅 Expanded teacher and staff appreciation efforts
🦅 Continued support for student programs, clubs, classroom resources, and school traditions

But what makes Alex truly extraordinary isn’t just what she accomplishes.

It’s how she does it. She leads with kindness, action, and heart.

She is the person answering messages late at night, solving problems behind the scenes, showing up early, staying late, checking on teachers, supporting families, advocating for students, and somehow still making everyone around her feel seen and valued.

Whether she’s planning a major event, organizing volunteers, or personally cooking for hours during Teacher Appreciation Week — she gives 100% of herself to this school community.

And somehow, she does all of this while working full-time, supporting Charlie through travel soccer, and being an incredible mom.

What many people may not realize is that Alex hasn’t just helped run the PTA — she has helped shape the culture of it.

While we know she would never ask for recognition — and probably wishes we weren’t posting this — we hope she knows just how loved and appreciated she truly is.

Thank you, Alex, for every hour, every sacrifice, every act of kindness, and every piece of your heart you’ve given to Springwoods.

Who is ready for the 5th Grade Promotion.

On Thursday, June 4th during morning drop-off, we will celebrate our amazing 5th graders with a Send-Off Car Parade!

Families are encouraged to decorate their cars with signs, balloons, streamers, and messages of encouragement for the Class of 2026. As you drive through the drop-off loop, honk, wave, and cheer to help send our 5th graders off in style.

Let’s make it a fun and memorable morning for our Class of 2026!
