A very difficult one to write today, but please hold this beautiful mare of mine in your thoughts this afternoon as she prepares to run free once again beyond her earthly confines.
Ilarah is not only a "heart horse", but undoubtedly a horse of a lifetime. A horse that shaped my life, my career and the places that we have called home over the last 13 years. She will forever be a reminder of strength in the face of resilience, a reminder to stay true to yourself and your roots and to always run free with determination living life by your own rules. Of ALL the horses that I have owned or worked with in my lifetime - she has by far been the greatest teacher of life and the language of horses that I have ever been blessed with knowing.
