Uprooted Chesapeake and OBX angler, educator, fisherman, advocate for outdoor education and preservation. Have questions? Ask away! Say hello!

This is a site about fishing in and around New England (with the occasional foray back down South). As you may guess from the vids, I'm not a native New Englander. There is no "wicked bad" where I grew up, fishing primarily the Chesapeake Bay and Outer Banks of North Carolina. Thus, up here, my moniker Redneckangler (or RNA) kinda stuck. I've got a day job that does not involve fishing, though it

I grew up right across Old Plank Road from Salem Church, in front of Mclaws line facing Newton. Needless to say, we were able to find a ton of stuff detecting as kids.

The Battle of Chancellorsville ends on May 6, 1863, with the withdrawal of the Army of the Potomac across the Rappahannock.

Federal commander MG Joseph Ho**er ordered the withdrawal following 7-days of fighting that saw both armies suffer heavy casualties. George Meade’s V Corps provided the rearguard. Meade would succeed Ho**er as commander of the Army of the Potomac on June 28.

Federal losses at Chancellorsville were 17,287 (1,606 killed, 9,762 wounded, 6,919 captured or missing), approximately 13% of the 133,868 present for duty on April 30, 1863.

Confederate losses at Chancellorsville were 12,764 (1,665 killed, 9,081 wounded, 2,018 captured or missing), approximately 21% of the 60,298 present in Army of Northern Virginia at the beginning of the battle.

'G***k switch' bill is driving up gun sales in CT, dealers say 04/28/2026

You can't claim to really give a s**t about criminals running around with G***ks converted to automatic handguns if you're nolling almost 99% of the charges against people arrested that are in violation of existing federal laws. Banning the sales of the most common gun out there isn't going to solve the issue. Maybe actually prosecuting criminals would send a message?

'G***k switch' bill is driving up gun sales in CT, dealers say A proposed ban on the sale of 'convertible pistols' in CT, HB5043 is driving up sales, but some gun dealers say a ban is the wrong idea.

Nothing like a sloppy 3-way on the North Shah at Madmatts.woburn.... These things are my new obsession when visiting the North Shore. Keep the lobster rolls and chowdah, serve me up a 3-way any day of the week. Can't wait to try more places. You won't find 'em anywhere else. I make sure I've got a roll of paper towels, or I can just save some in my beard for later.😋

Plan to throw a cheap optic on the 9mm and take it out this week. CT makes you pin the QD, so it's basically just a range toy. I need a suppressed .22 plinker and have been eyeing on the R***r 22/45 Lite. I can shoot that on the indoor range with no hearing needed and an endless supply of .22.

I just keep this page up to share my interests and things with friends and anyone else who wants to stop by. For the life of me, I don't know what pi**ed off FB this time. They don't tell you which post "violates the community guidelines (the AI bot screener)." Probably something to do with a pew-pew. If you saw a firearm, dead animal or a fish with a sharp hook through its lip and were upset, just unfollow the page. You do you and let others do the same.

I'm sure all of NYC feels so much safer. Was someone pigeon hunting in Central Park? The only crime committed here is the optic.

Today, our patrol officers responded to a radio run and removed these illegal fi****ms from our streets. Great work by our officers for their quick response and commitment to keeping our community safe!

This is a great course (and eats afterwards)!

The Wildlife Division’s Hunter Safety Program is offering their popular Venison Processing Workshops at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington on Sunday, February 1, 2026, and at Franklin Swamp Wildlife Management Area in North Franklin on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
