Heads up Libby users!

Edited to clarify: This deadline applies only to libraries in the IFLS Library System that use the MORE catalog. We are sorry for any confusion!

Heads up IF you use the MORE catalog and do not currently use a PIN to access your Wisconsin's Digital Library/Libby account.

Starting on Monday, October 5, users will have to enter both their library card number and PIN to access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive, whether via the Libby app or the Wisconsin's Digital Library site. This will be the same PIN used for logging into your local Library account Catalog and MORE Libraries app. According to OverDrive, this is "part of our ongoing commitment to providing secure access to your library’s digital resources."

Tomorrow is our Adult Game Day! Stop by the library at 1:30 pm and play board games, dice games, card games etc. Feel free to bring your own games, suggest a game, or use what we have. Everyone is welcome.

Tomorrow is our first Homeschool Connection of the school year. Once a month the library will host a Homeschool Connection day where parents and children are invited to collaborate on homeschool activities and themes. This month the theme is Smells like Fall Fun! Friday, September 11 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

All the Columbia county libraries have come together to participate in a Columbia county library tour! Visit each of the 10 libraries in the Columbia county, at each library you visit you will receive a puzzle piece. When you've completed the puzzle you will be able to enter the prize drawing to win a basket at the library of your choice! This activity goes through the month of September. See you soon.

The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.
