This amazing piece of art and poem were gifted me for my birthday by the most talented and artist and astonishingly great friend . About half a year ago, I discarded a broken 3d printed low poly skeleton, Dennis recovered it and created yet another one of my all time favorite art pieces. I am forever grateful to him. This creepy little birdhouse creature crawled out of an antique book page and demanded to exist. Black Sharpie linework and Gelly Roll gel pen highlights on vintage paper the aged text underneath adds that perfect layer of unease. There’s something about drawing monsters on old stories that just feels right. The brick-legged walker, the crow trapped inside, those jagged teeth… this one has a whole lore to it.
