Yellow Blaze Transit is going out of business! Thanks to the Methow community, to our riders and our followers.
The van made one last big trip from Portland to Anchorage, handling snow and ice with grace!

Congrats Sanjeev Karki AKA Evertree on his PCT hike. He is the founder and trail ambassador for his 501(c)(3) charity, 8848 Trees, which empowers women through reforestation projects in his native Nepal 🇳🇵Check it out at 8848trees.org. Hikers like Sanjeev make all the long days on the road worth it.

Today’s hike at Cutthroat Pass, PCT mile 2597, 6839’. I congratulated a NOBO thruhiker, but he said, “Don’t say that yet, I have over 50 miles to get myself eaten by a bear.”

Enjoying the aerial show as firefighters work to control the blazes near Mazama. SR20 is going into full closure tomorrow at 10am, but we were lucky enough to get through after a 30 minute delay. Planning on still serving Seattle (via Snoqualmie Pass) if the situation doesn’t improve

Hikers from 12 states, 2 provinces, three countries in eleven days. Like the temperature, things are heating up for a successful season.

Stopped off at Diablo Lake overlook on the way to Seattle. First time driving alone in the van, took advantage by rocking out to my favorite grunge bands🤘

Tomorrow’s the big day - maiden voyage to Seattle and back! Best wishes to the four PCTers who are braving the snow. The van leaves the at 8am for Mazama and Seattle.

Took a break from last-minute business preparations to ride my Ebike up the Hart’s Pass road. Battery died a mile before the top, and the rain started falling! Enjoyed the harrowing and teeth-rattling cruise to the bottom
