Context: Tilly (my daughter) is the pitcher. Yes, the batter hit a great longball but this is a celebration… here is why.

This is Natalie’s first season playing softball ever. She had never pitched a ball in her life until about five weeks ago. Our team is very low on pitching. Natalie decided she would figure it out. We coaches told her that all we need her to do is play catch and get it over the plate. We want the other team to hit so our team can do their job to field. Previous games were all walks. It was tiring and frustrating. Enter Natalie. She decided she was going to be a pitcher and believed she could. She has put in the hard work to learn. This one outstanding pitch was one of well more than 50 in this particular game. She’s struck out many batters. I am beyond impressed with her. Dad is completely proud!!
