When the pandemic brought her business to a halt, this chef tackled food insecurity with farm-to-table meals After closing down her supper club amid Covid, Chef Q. Ibraheem redirected her love of cooking to provide free, healthy meals to families at risk of going hungry in her Chicago community.

It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that the Run BeCAUSE race has been cancelled for 2020. We hope that everyone stays safe during this time.

This Saturday is our fourth annual one-mile charity fun run! One hundred percent of the proceeds from the race and other fundraising efforts will be donated directly to an after school program for the at risk youth of Evanston called Family Focus. This program is dedicated to promoting the well being of children and has displayed incredible generosity to the city of Evanston. The Run BeCAUSE team has recognized how underfunded this program is and how much it could benefit from our donation. Please consider supporting this this local charity and helping Run BeCAUSE meet its goal of raising $15,000 by registering for Saturday’s race or donating at runbecause.org
