Is my Password secure? In today's password driven world some of your most privileged information is only a password away from being accesses. So what is a good password? Well in my experience using something well known is not a good password. Such as your Dogs name, birthdate, significant others name or kids names, or the dreaded password as your password. A good password usually involves special characters such as @ #$! with a combination of Capital and lower case letters and numbers. For example you can change that dreaded default password to something a little more difficult by adding these criteria like so !P@$$w0rd! this now takes on a whole new meaning with secure password as it includes the combination of the criteria, but even this might not work with some websites looking to ensure your safety that the password is not a standard dictionary password. I tell my clients to use something unique that they can remember and other people can't guess. Such passwords like !J@m3$B0nd007! fit the criteria for uniqueness and have the special characters along with the Capital Letters and numbers. So save yourself the hassle of a hacker figuring out your password by using secure passwords.

Attention all Local Chamber members there is a new scam out there people posing as representatives who do business with the chamber trying to scam you out of money I received this from our friends at Highland Park Illinois Chamber of Commerce Here is the e-mail I received.
Dear Chamber members,

We have received information from a neighboring Chamber alerting us to a scam:

Several of their members informed them that they were getting phone calls from a company representing itself as being part of the Chamber. One company received a call from ‘Trade Pay’; another business received a call asking if they had selected a new property location.

The caller claims to be part of the Chamber or states that they have received the phone number from the Chamber. These are calls coming from out of the country and are spam. We believe they may be robo-dialing from publicly accessed information.

Please know that when the Highland Park Chamber does partner with businesses or organizations, we always let our members know in advance if the partnering organization will be reaching out to our membership.

If you do get a call, I would appreciate knowing about it so I can track this and alert the authorities.
