Diamondz From the Rough

I finally got a pic of little Onyx on his “namesake” chair! Yes, I took artistic liberties with his eye color, but otherwise this image perfectly captures his essence! 😆

I won’t bury the lead any longer; here’s the result of three days of learning from a room full of talented ladies! Quirky, whimsical, and slightly creepy, just like me! 😜

Hey all!! Sorry for the hiatus; turns out moving from Germany back to Colorado and then directly to Ohio takes a good deal of time and energy! This weekend was just what the doctor ordered: A 3-day art retreat/party with the one and only Tracey’s Fancy where she taught whimsy and her specialty, hand-painted checks, stripes, cheetah print, etc. I went to learn, and boy did I! Stay tuned for the final products!

Well, the time is upon me. I hoped to have just a bit more time to do the finishing touches on the king throne, but the movers will be coming tomorrow to start packing up my household goods for shipment back to the states!

New tool alert!! I’m so excited, this is the first time I’ve ever used this texture roller I bought probably 4 years ago. I used up the last of my light wood filler as my texture medium, and rolled this beauty through to make unique patterns. Can’t wait to see how it turns out when dry!

This chair is fun; the Mad Hatter means anything is fair game!
