Music can remind us of people, places, or past events. Music can influence our mood and motivate us. So many people use music to help them process different emotions they’re feeling.

This is exactly why we use music in all of our lessons. It helps students to make emotional connections to the topics being taught and helps students to bond over the universal language of music.

What is a song that has impacted you in your life?

Alexa, play “Nobody’s Perfect” by Hannah Montana…🎶

ITS OKAY IF YOU…
📆Have a bad day
🚫Make mistakes
🎯Are less than perfect
🗣️Ask for personal space
🥇Put yourself first
🌈Take a break

Everybody makes mistakes, and that is okay. When we make mistakes, this is a great time for us to reflect, learn, and grow.

No matter what a child dreams of, it is important that we as educators help to teach them the skills needed to accomplish their goals. A child needs to learn about things like positive self-talk, responsible decision-making, coping skills, planning skills, and more in order to be able to set and achieve goals.💫

Escapism is a tendency to escape from the real world to the safety and comfort of a fantasy world - often used to cope with the stresses of daily life.

It is important that students learn healthy coping skills so they are able to deal with the ups and downs of life.

New “escapism” lesson now available on our TPT!

This is exactly why we use music in all of our lessons. Music can be such a powerful tool to help us understand our feelings and emotions - making it perfect for when kids are learning about their social, emotional, and mental health.
