Thank you to the team at The Village on Technology Hill for a great tour yesterday! It was inspiring to see the tehnnology you’re working on, especially the SpotOn Fence.

If you or someone you know is in need of food or baby formula, here is a list of local food pantry resources in our area. If you're able to help your neighbors, especially during these challenging times with the government shutdown, please volunteer.

Please vote for Windham High to get some lights on their athletic field! Takes 10 seconds and you can vote once a day.

Maternal health, babies, and families were prioritized in the NH budget! Proud to have been a co-sponsor of SB246, which was amended into HB2. Big thanks to Sen. Ricciardi, all of the co-sponsors and everyone who worked so hard to get this across the finish line!

I extend my thoughts and prayers to the Hoffman and Hortman families, and the entire state of Minnesota. I hope the assassin is swiftly apprehended and justice is served to the full extent of the law. The targeting of elected officials in such violent acts is deeply disturbing and has no place in a civilized society. It is truly distressing to see the escalating danger in politics, and imperative we put an end to it.

Let us remember and honor the courageous American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. It was a special morning paying tribute to these remarkable men and women at the Windham Memorial Day Parade. May God Bless our fallen heroes and their families. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Some good news from Concord yesterday regarding local control! SB174 was tabled and HB685 was sent to committee of conference. Thank you to all of the constituents who took the time to email about these bills. Your concerns were heard and action was taken.

I joined Representative Ball in advocating for the protection of local control. I am grateful to the numerous constituents who expressed their concerns about the proposed legislation, which would have mandated a reduction in our school budget without a 2/3rds vote. Not a single resident contacted me to express support through emails, calls, or online testimony.

Local control is a fundamental aspect of New Hampshire and our Windham community. Under RSA 32:5-b, towns have the authority to implement a tax cap if they so choose. In the case of Windham, if there was interest in a tax cap, it would have only required 25 voters to place it on the ballot last month. The absence of this initiative on the ballot clearly demonstrates the opposition from constituents.
