🎉 The Barrow Community Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of our Q2 2026 Barrow Together grants!

Through this grant cycle, a total of $50,000 has been awarded to five local organizations working to address two community priorities identified through surveys, focus groups, and local data: housing insecurity and early literacy. From helping families maintain stable housing to creating innovative literacy opportunities for children and parents, these organizations are making a meaningful difference throughout Barrow County.

Congratulations to Adult Literacy Barrow, Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project, Habitat for Humanity, Peace Place, and Wimberly's Roots! We received 14 outstanding applications this cycle and are grateful for the dedication of every organization serving our community.

Through mentorship, academic support, and community connection, we are creating a safe space where potential is unlocked and futures are built.

This is more than a program. This is a movement.

A friendly reminder to Barrow County seniors and families — the deadline to apply for the 2026 Barrow Community Foundation Scholarships is February 28!

These scholarships are available to graduating seniors from all three Barrow County public high schools and include:
✔️ Opportunities for colleges and technical programs
✔️ All majors
✔️ Both need-based and merit-based awards
