🐾 Avoid leaving pets unattended near fireplaces or space heaters.
🐾 Secure electrical cords that curious pets may chew.
🐾 Keep leashes, carriers, and emergency supplies easily accessible.

🚒 Meet Your Fleet Monday 🚒
🔥 Featuring Quint 5 🔥
Quint 5 is proudly stationed at BCFD Station #5 in Winder, serving the citizens of Barrow County with dedication and professionalism 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As a quint apparatus, Quint 5 combines the capabilities of both a fire engine and an aerial ladder truck, making it one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in our fleet. From structure fires and motor vehicle accidents to medical emergencies and rescue incidents, Quint 5 and its crew are prepared to respond whenever the call comes.
Its aerial ladder provides firefighters with access to elevated areas during fires and assists with rescue operations when needed. Combined with its water supply, pump, hose, and rescue equipment, Quint 5 is equipped to handle a wide variety of emergency situations throughout our community.
We extend our appreciation to the firefighters assigned to Quint 5 who work diligently to ensure the apparatus remains maintained, equipped, and ready to respond at a moment’s notice.

💙Today, we celebrate all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who provide guidance, support, and strength to their families and our community.
We would especially like to recognize the fathers serving within the Barrow County Fire Department. Whether responding to emergencies, protecting our community, or spending time with their loved ones, these dedicated men exemplify commitment, sacrifice, and leadership both on and off duty.
To all the dads in Barrow County and around the world, thank you for the countless ways you make a difference every day. We hope you enjoy a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved Father's Day surrounded by family and friends.
Happy Father's Day!💙
🚒🔥 Firehouse Snack of the Day: Parmesan Garlic Pizza Rolls 🔥🚒
Training is done. Calls are handled for now. Workout is done. The reports are (mostly) finished. Now it’s time for a snack!
🍕 Parmesan Garlic Pizza Rolls 🍕
Ingredients
▪️ 1 (24.8 oz) bag pizza rolls
▪️ ¼–½ cup Parmesan Garlic Sauce
▪️ ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese
▪️ 1 tbsp dried parsley
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook pizza rolls according to package directions until crispy.
2️⃣ Place hot pizza rolls in a large bowl.
3️⃣ Add all ingredients and stir.
4️⃣Serve to firefighters who suddenly appear from every corner of the station.
5️⃣Watch them disappear faster than a fire truck leaving on a call.
⚠️ Firehouse Safety Tip: Allow pizza rolls to cool before eating. The filling reaches temperatures rivaling the surface of the sun.
🔥Your Barrow County Firefighters have dedicated countless hours of training over the past two weeks to save one of our own. When emergencies strike and we answer the call—but face one ourselves—there’s no one to call. So we train to save our own and those we work beside🔥

Leadership matters at every level within the Fire Service.
BCFD is proud to have hosted Leadership 1, 2, and 3, bringing Firefighters and Officers together to continue building the knowledge, discipline, and decision-making skills needed to lead effectively on and off the emergency scene.
Training like this strengthens our personnel, our department, and the service we provide to our community. Thank you to everyone who attended, instructed, and helped make these classes a success.
