🌉 If you're traveling across Owensboro's Glover Cary Bridge, commonly known as the "Blue Bridge," next week, you may notice some daytime lane restrictions while Palmer Engineering conducts the bridge's annual inspection on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Here's a fun fact: The Glover Cary Bridge opened to traffic in 1940 and carries approximately 7,200 vehicles every day across the Ohio River, connecting Daviess County, Kentucky, and southern Indiana via KY 2262.
Annual inspections help ensure this iconic river crossing continues to safely serve motorists for years to come. If you're traveling through the area June 15-19, plan for a little extra travel time and use caution in the work zone.
