We're very happy that no one ever invented Meal Pills.

And we're celebrating with a food event dedicated to one of the most old-school, classic ways of cooking: over an open fire. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Make sure you buy your tickets to Ember & Earth. Your dinner will be cooked over an open flame by some of our region's most innovative chefs, including one who used to work at the White House! ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ

Plus, this will all be taking place a truly historic property, previously owned by President George Washington.

What does it take to become an award-winning vineyard and brewery?

Sustainable growing techniques. Careful selection of grape varieties. Patience and precision during the fermentation and maturation processes. And, most importantly, passionate people.

Since 2006, our friends at have grown Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Virginiaโ€™s native Norton, offering premium examples of fine Virginia winemaking. ๐Ÿ‡

You can try some of those delicious wines at The Summer Table. Buy your tickets below. โฌ‡๏ธ

If you live in Virginia and want to buy local for your next summer cookout, here are three businesses we recommend:

1. The Whole Ox This women-owned butcher shop sells delicious steaks, hand-cut and ethically sourced from local farms. Perfect for a day of grilling! ๐Ÿฎ

2. Mackintosh Fruit Farm A good summer salad incorporates a bit of sweetness, whether that's from beets or juicy strawberries. You can find both here, and you can also pick the strawberries yourself! ๐Ÿ“

3. Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery Ice-cold beer and beautiful blends are essential for any summer party. You can find both at this infamous vineyard, where grapes are grown with care & precision. ๐Ÿบ

Good thing our friends Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery were designated Virginia Brewery of the Year!

Whether he's into our classic Wise Oak IPA or he wants to surprise us all by drinking a Chocolate Lab Porter in June, help Dad come to the Summer Table at Barrel Oak.
