A little thanksgiving fescue!!

November 7th and Bermuda still holding color with this 80 degree weather….even with 2 good frost nights. Mowing season has been extended a few weeks and some regrowth noticed.

The colder weather will come so enjoy the green lawns a little longer.

Finally got some rain!! Fescue seeding could use a few more blue lines!!

Nature can be fascinating sometimes!

Tiger stripes usually follow the first frost in some Bermuda turf and is a natural occurrence. It’s caused by the difference in frost accumulation and ground temperatures at the turf level.

How much does environmental factors, soil health, watering play a part in good turf?

These two pictures are only separated by the width of a sidewalk.

The good section tends to hold water longer and is less compacted. The bad section dries out fast, has some tree root issues. and gets compacted during summer heat.

Textbook disease! A little rain and cooler nights and it comes quickly.

Super excited on how these lawns have responded to the conditions we’ve had this year. The “danger zone” is near as hopefully cooler temps are ahead.
