Surrounded by citizens from our community, members of City Council, leadership from Wilson County and the City Manager and Assistant City Manager from the City of Wilson, we came together today to remember the victims of September 11, 2001—a day forever etched in American history.

Members of our department took a moment to honor the courageous first responders who answered the call that morning.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary bravery and selflessness demonstrated by first responders and ordinary citizens alike.

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and their service.
